In a meeting with senior officials of transportation department at project building, Chief Secretary, RS Sharma stressed on the need to improve the road transportation facility in the State and has also laid emphasis for building better and strong infrastructure in the state on Wednesday.
Departments are instructed to make provision of all the basic complacency requirements and comforts in the transportation services for the trippers. “There is a need to renovate and provide all basic infrastructures to the bus stands under district headquarters in order to make better and comfortable Road transportation service for the travelers,” said the Chief Secretary. In this meeting, Proposals have also been laid by the Chief Secretary to develop transportation services similar to that of DTC of Delhi on public, private partnership mode.
Sharma has also insinuated on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode of laying bus stands following the conformation of venue, and to appoint many different institutions for its management. Commercial provision should be made for those in journey as this will be a good source of revenue.
