A highly naxal infested block Naudeeha in Palamu will have Jharkhand Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya for the girl students living in its 11 panchayats. The school is expected to be ready by 2018.

Chief whip of BJP in Assembly Radha Krishan Kishore who is also Chhaterpur MlA said on the occasion, "Rs 4.37 crore is expected to be spent on the school. Foundation stone for which was laid by me and Palamu MP VD Ram on Saturday only."

Building Construction Corporation is the agency working for the residential school. Kishore said girls of these highly naxal-hit panchayats of Naudeeha block used to travel to Chhaterpur for schooling for class 10 but with this they would be getting this facility right at the block itself. Jharkhand Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya is on the pattern of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidalaya.

The venue of this upcoming residential school is Madhya which is one kilometer away from Naudeeha bazar. Sources said there is a chunk of 50 acres of GM land there at Madhya out of which this residential school is to come up on 3 acres of land. locals say two, three years back such a multi crore work was unthinkable because of the excessive infiltration of extremists there.

State DGP DK Pandey had visited Naudeeha and its most interior location Kooh Kooh twice where at Kooh Kooh there has come a forward security post which houses two companies of force there to check, contain and frustrate the influx of Maoists from Bihar.
