A girl committed suicide by hanging herself in flat number 304 of Eklavya Tower Block A located in Pundag OP area late on Friday night in the State Capital. The girl is a resident of Jamshedpur.
After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. At the same time, two people including the alleged lover of the girl are being detained and interrogated. The police have informed the girl's family. The family members have come to Ranchi from Jamshedpur. Police will take further action based on the statement of the family members.
The body of the girl was found hanging from the fan in flat number 304 of Eklavya Tower. The young man who lived with the girl, removed her from the noose and took her to Richi Hospital where the doctors declared her dead. After this the hospital worker informed the police about the incident. After receiving the information, Hatia DySP, Raja Kumar Mitra and Pundag police station In-Charge reached the flat in the night itself and investigated.
The police took the girl's body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The alleged lover was also taken into custody. The FSL team conducted the investigation on Saturday morning.
