Giridih police busted a gang involved in mobile phones thefts in Bara Chowk of the district. The police arrested four members of the gang and 9 mobile phones were recovered from the arrested persons. The arrest was made following a police raids in Hetla village and Budhiyathhath village areas of the district.
Two of the arrested persons have been identified as Chhotu Das and Sandeep Das, residents of the Hetla village, while two others were picked up from Budhiyathhath village. Deputy Superintendent of police Sambhu Kumar Singh said the gang was also involved in theft of other goods from the market; the recovered mobiles had been stolen from Bara Chock.
During investigation, all four criminals accepted their involvement in a numbers of cases. The town police are also looking for more members cropped up during their interrogation, Deputy SP further added.
