The cyber cell of Giriih crime branch have arrested eight persons, in connection with a multi-crore cyber fraud case. The suspects arrested have been identified as Saroj Mandal,Dinesh Mandal,Rajendra Mandal,Mukesh Mandal,Dhanraj Mandal,Papu Verma,Pawan Verma and Pratap Saw.They belong to different locations of Giridih district,said Cyber Dy SP Sandeep Suman.
The Cyber crime branch sleuths of Giridih have recovered, 15 mobiles,10 ATM cards and 2 fake Sim cards.
Suman said that the suspects were arrested based on the information. Further investigation of the call detail records and bank accounts led the trail to the suspects.
The cyber cell officials carried out a detailed investigation of the accounts and found that they were opened on submission of fraudulent and forged documents.
Upon inquiry with the local residents, the cyber crime officials received information that the suspects were resident of different villages in Giridih.
Accordingly, a raid was carried out at the premises where all the suspects were immediately arrested under various Sections of IPC and cyber cell is further investigating the case.
