Ghatwars who were excluded from the list of Jharkhand Scheduled Tribes by the Constitution-Scheduled Tribe Order 1950 have been agitating for long by way of staging dharna, gheraos etc at block and district level have decided to resort to ‘Rail evam Road Roko Andolan’ (Stop Rail and Road Traffic Movement) all over the State when the clock will tick the midnight on February 11. Hundreds of men and women have geared up and will assemble at Dilwa station to revive their demand of cancellation of undue exclusion by the said old order.
State vice-president of Ghatwar Adivasi Mahasabha Jharkhand Kendriya Committee told addressing a Press conference here that personnels have been called to appear with sticks and traditional weapons like sword and to join the protest even as with band. If their agitation remains unheard they will go even to Delhi, said Singh.
