Department of Industries Director K Ravi Kumar said on Friday that Getalsood Food Park was going to be operational soon, most probably within two months.
He said that water supply was the last constraint before the plant went operational and the government was doing every bit to clear this hurdle from the way of mega food park in the State.
He added that the government was committed to take food processing industry in the State worth competing with rest of the country soon. “All other hurdles in the way of Getalsood mega Food Park have been removed and the only hurdle we have to get removed remains water connection. This too will be removed most probably in two months,” said Kumar.
In a Road Show organised by the department in association with CII here on the day for Food World India-2017, Kumar said that the government had been working closely with food producers in the State, potential processors in and willing to come because they see that there is a huge growth here.
