The ‘Make in India’ initiative conceived by Prime Minister Narendra Modi can take the nation to new heights. Many foreign parties are interested in investing in India which should be encouraged to realise the dream of making India economically prosperous, this was said by Union Minister for Heavy industries Anant Geete while addressing the Heavy Engineering Corporation limited officials during his visit to the engineering facility on Wednesday.

Upon arriving at HEC headquarters, CISF personnel presented the guard of honour to Geete. He unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi set up at the headquarters in presence of Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries Vishvajit Sahay, HEC Chairman and Managing Director Avijit Ghosh and the Board of Directors.

After planting a tree in the headquarter premises, Geete went ahead to inspect the HEC’s production facilities, accompanied by HEC CMD Avijit Ghosh and the Board of Directors. He visited the foundry forge plant and heavy machine tools plant and encouraged the workers present at the facilities to keep up the good work.Applauding the facilities and their work, he said, “Hopefully, HEC and the Ministry will jointly review issues under consideration so that HEC can develop as a leading institution in engineering works.”

After inspecting the facilities, Geete returned to the HEC offices where a presentation depicting what HEC was, is and will be in the future, informed HEC PRO Hemant Gupta.“I wish that HEC will always be successful in fulfilling its duties.
