Under Gavai Baraj Yojana proposal, a fund of `13054.40 lakh has been approved by the Water Resource Minister Chandraprakash Choudhary. The proposal has been sanctioned to renew 4636 hectare of land in Bokaro district.
The prolonged demand of renewing the project under Gavai Baraj Yojana was lingering since long. The project located at Kendua Digh village in Chas block will be renovated covering varied dimensions like construction of Efflux canal, cleaning was canal beds, beautification of embankments and others.
If the project is completed in prescribed period Chas Block including the adjoining blocks can easily avail the benefit of irrigation covering extensive areas.
