Garhwa found Kotra gets entry in PTR's grass land

A 9 month old female Kotra has been released into the grass land at Teno under the Garu west range of the tiger reserve Palamu today.

The female Kotra was rescued from a tribal family Janardan Korwa of Chiniya under the Ranka west range of the south division of the Garhwa district.

DFO Garhwa south division Shashi Kumar said a villager had phoned our Ranka range personnel about one Kotra at Chiniya.

Janardan Korwa had this Kotra but he had not got it by any foul means nor had this tribal any ill motive behind having this Kotra at his house.

Shashi Kumar said the Kotra had just walked down with the goats of Janardan Korwa and Janardan Korwa took all care of this wild life along with his goats.

This tribal gave Kotra food and water. The Ranka forest team took the Kotra from Janardan Korwa with a great  sense of gratitude.

This rescued Kotra was given to the deputy director south division of the tiger reserve Palamu Kumar Ashish who today got this wild life released into the grass land at Teno under the Garu west range.

Ashish said "We brought this Garhwa and found Kotra in Teno. Its palatable grasses and lots of water will make this Kotra cheerful."

This is the second release of the Kotra in the Teno grassland in less than ten days of this month.

Kotra has a habit of walking down with cows and goats like old acquaintances.

The family where it reaches does not cause any harm to such wild life gone astray.
