Deputy Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of various blocks and community health centers under the Ranka subdivision to assess the current status of healthcare services, administrative arrangements, and development schemes on Wednesday.
During his visit to the Community Health Center in Ranka, the DC reviewed the availability of medical facilities, the stock of essential medicines, staff attendance, and overall cleanliness. He instructed healthcare workers to ensure that all services are running smoothly and that no patient should face any inconvenience. He emphasized that no staff member should be absent during duty hours and that all personnel must mark their attendance through biometric systems. He also directed that all doctors and medical staff maintain proper dress codes while on duty and pay special attention to cleanliness in and around the hospital premises.
Considering the ongoing monsoon season, Yadav directed the Medical Officer to ensure the availability of anti-venom medicines in sufficient quantities at all hospitals to enable timely treatment of snakebite victims.
As part of the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed hospital registers, the medicine storage room, and various wards, and interacted directly with patients to understand their issues.
In addition to the health center, Yadav conducted surprise visits to Eklavya Model School in Bhandariya, the Block-cum-Circle Office in Bhandariya, the Sub-Divisional Office in Ranka, and the Block-cum-Circle Office in Ranka. He reviewed the actual on-ground conditions at these locations and instructed concerned officials to demolish old and dilapidated buildings and ensure cleanliness at those sites. He also emphasized the importance of providing proper drinking water and toilet facilities for villagers visiting from remote areas and completing their applications or requests within the stipulated time frame.
The DC warned that if public grievances are not addressed within the given time limit and such complaints reach the headquarters, strict action will be taken against the responsible officials and staff. He further instructed the SDO Ranka and BDO to auction off all old and unused vehicles without delay.
Yadav also directed block development officers and medical officers to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last mile. He urged all officials and staff to remain alert and sensitive to their responsibilities. He concluded by stating that such inspections by the district administration aim to guarantee the effective availability, transparency, and quality of public services.
