Following, information of continuous mining and transportation of sand, Garhwa DC Harsh Mangla has directed to the Circle officers of the concerned area to stop illegal trade of sand after conducting raids with coordination to the police.
Held a meeting with the police and Mining officials, DC asked the SDPO of their respective area to coordinate with the Circle Officer and take action to stop the illegal trade of sand at nine identified illegal sand mining site.
Among the sand dunes that have been identified for action included , Medana, Bellachapa, Hur, Sangrahe, Lapo, Pachaddumar, Khajuri, Sundipur, Ranka, Bhandaria.
The DC has instructed to the Cos to register FIR against seized sand trucks.
DC directed the mining officer to submit a report regarding storage of mined sand within a month. Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner has instructed to the mining officer to action against black marketers who sell brick at a higher rate than the fixed rate. So that the value of brick could be controlled.
