The girl's mother Mala Devi said that in 2008 she had gone to the Kathrai village under Rohtas police station in Bihar for harvesting paddy crops  with her family. On that time there was an agreement to marry Guddy (Geeta) with Sudeshwar Ram, son of Sumer Ram of the same village.

That time she was 15 years old. We searched her several places to Guddy but she could not be traced. After one year we filed a  case with Garhwa court," said Mala Devi.
