Palamu police taking a bold step shifted a notorious gangster Sujit Sinha to central jail Hazaribag just 48 hours before the Republic Day said sources.
Sijut Sinha is a name to reckon with in the world of crime said sources.Sources said IG prisons approved of the shifting of this gangster from central jail Daltonganj to Hazaribag and then the judicial proceedings were carried out here in consultation with the Hazaribag counterpart.
SP Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha confirming this shifting of Sujit Sinha said this is necessitated by his handiwork in which he was grooming juveniles from inside the jail to take to crimes .
SP Mahatha reminded that Daltonganj police had recently cracked a group of 9 miscreants out of which 5 were found to be minor but these five were handling illicit arms all at the behest of this gangster Sujit Sinha.
The SP explained that this gangster shifting before R Day is a just a coincidence otherwise the Palamu police were just doing home works for his shifting from here to Hazaribag since long.
