The Congress party on Sunday came in full strength with Tara Chand Bhagora I/C Jharkhand Congress unit for Panki by-poll along with Subodh Kant Sahay KN Tripathy, Manjoor Ansari, JD(U) and JVM leaders to back party candidate Devender Singh for the May 16 poll. RJD chief lalu Yadav is also likely to hit campaign trail soon.
“A request to this effect has been made by us to our High Command to rope in lalu Prasad for visiting this Assembly constituency,” said Subodh Kant Sahay when asked if RJD chief lalu Prasad is coming to Panki for campaign. To a question that JMM parted ways with the Congress and fielded its candidate against the Congress one here in Panki Subodh Kant Sahay said, “I had met Hemant Soren ji for a unified fight to the BJP but Hemant ji decided to field his party’s candidate there and now the Congress is there to give a fight.”
However Sahay termed BJP as its greatest political enemy and went on flaying Prime Minister Narender Modi and Chief Minister Raghubar Das. “We are after Modi and Das as both have done nothing tangible for the poor of the country and the State here.”
