'Frog-leaper' politicos leave Facebook pages to bear the brunt

Published on:

It may be too easy for colour changing politicians, who are posing a tough competition to blinking Chinese lEDs now-a-days in Jharkhand, to cross over but not for their social media platforms!

The social networking pages of the turncoats have to carry the burden of their previous (mis)deeds and are getting hit by flurry of comments.   Front runner among the long list of defectors is of course Dulal Bhuiyan.

Bhuiyan has corrected himself at least four times in no time and is currently parked at the Congress, the party that is suffering from the problem of plenty since it decided to contest over 60 seats in Jharkhand.

His ‘Facebook’ profile name still knows him as ‘Dulal Bhuiyan BJP’ and his comments show his love to the saffron party which has not lost yet. “Modiji of the BJP has said that ‘sabka sath sabka vikas’. Due to the alliance, great disrespect has been done to Prime Minister Modiji, the Sangh and the BJP,” says one of his posts following the BJP tie-up with the AJSU and his ‘seat’ Jugsalai going to the later way.

But not much below is the post of his endorsing the Prime Minister’s radio speech ‘Mannkibaat’. Bhuiyan, justifying his multi-colour political trait, is liking the pages of ‘PMO India’, ‘Indian National Congress’ and ‘Arjun Munda YouthBrigade’ at a time.

Navin Jaiswal of AJSU, oops…..JVM was quick to update his ‘facebook’ profile overnight, added information about his new party and thanked Babulal Marandi for extending his arms.

The sitting MlA was denied ticket from the Sudesh Mahto-headed party since the “understanding” reached with the BJP. “Hatia ek bar phir naya itihas rachne ko aatur hai (Hatia is desperate to create a new history once again)”, reads his post soon after holding the comb. Though the photographs and comments of a few days ago make one remember his DNA.

Another page ‘AJSU Ranchi’ carries numerous pictures of his with former party’s boss Sudesh Mahto and scarves with banana. Some of his sympathisers even disclose the internal politics of the AJSU and educate him that Sudesh Mahto had reached the understanding with the BJP just to safeguard himself.

Another notable name of the season is of Amit Mahto, who is considered the arch rival of the AJSU chief. His ‘work with the BJP’ did a summersault a day after finding hand of JMM patriarch Shibu Soren on his head but not before one of his followers suggesting him to change his cover photo with blossoming lotus.

Amit, a BIT-Mesra aluminous and tech-savvy man, is also the “victim” of the above mentioned alliance. He quickly did a course correction and as he now ‘works at the JMM’, Amit Mahto went on posting a newspaper clipping showing effigy burning of a BJP candidate on his new-look FB page.

The glad follower says—“Bhajpa or AJSU walon ki to kah kar lenge (we will give a befitting reply to the BJP and AJSU).” Shrewdest among the lot remained the Congress official candidate from Bhawnathpur who overnight figured into the BJP’s list also and filed his nomination kicking his and his royal family’s decades long association with the former.

like a true politician Anant Pratap Deo painted his wall and profile picture into deep saffron with blooming lotus. He in no time realised as well that only the BJP can do overall development of Jharkhand and threw his weight behind the effort to bring back black money stashed away.

“Chalo chalen Modi ke saath,” is now is tagline. Though Deo has removed his previous posts linking him with the Congress but followers’ memories are not that short lived.

‘Why don’t you ask your former bosses’ and ‘Vidhayakji ko ab kaala dhan dikne laga, power plant gayab’, uttered some of his sticky followers pocking fun on his and Congress “marathon efforts” to open a power plant at Bhawnathpur for which just land could be identified till now.

The platform is also doubling as suggestion box for some ‘about-to-turn’ netas. “Intazar karne walon to kewal utna hi milta hai jitna koshis karne wale chod dete hain,” reads a post on still a BJP leader Raja Peter. The Tamar MlA is said to be anxious ever since his seat has generated interest into the AJSU.
