Palamu has now one active positive case of Coronavirus. The single active positive case is of a jawan of the central para military force. The active case is after more than two and half months here in Palamu. Civil surgeon Palamu John F Kennedy has confirmed the presence of one active positive Coronavirus here. He said the jawan is in the Covid care center in Daltonganj and is in good health. He is said to be asymptomatic.
The civil surgeon said the jawan has come from Maharashtra for his report to duty in the CRPF base in Daltonganj. He is said to have travelled by train up-to Dehri On Sone from Maharashtra and then he traveled by bus from Dehri On Sone to Daltonganj. The civil surgeon has asked health officials to find out his contacts that he had had before being put in the Covid care center. Kennedy said he has been asking everyone to wear masks and maintain social distancing. He said he feels sad to see people hardly care a fig for the mask and social distancing.
