Four persons were shot dead in Kasira village under Karra Police Station of Khunti district on Saturday night by some unidentified persons. Three of them have been identified as Rahul Swasi and Anil Paradhiya from Kasira itself, and one Mukesh Singh from Karum village of lapung. The Police have said that the fourth death of one Brajesh Singh couldn’t be ascertained yet.
Khunti SP Anish Gupta didn’t rule out a strong possibility of gang war resulting in this incident. “Mukesh and Brajesh were using Kasira as their hideout from some days. Anil Paradhiya is said to be present at the occasion where gunman, seven or eight in numbers, opened fire and he received some shots. We can’t confirm the whereabouts of Brajesh Singh. We are trying to find out whether he is alive or dead,” said Gupta.
