The nomination papers of four candidates for the post of district board chairperson were found invalid during scrutiny on Monday.
The nominations of Md Shabir Ansari and Dilip Kumar Singh from Ranka (North), Renu Devi from Ranka (South) and Rambriksh Singh were found invalid during scrutiny and their candidature rejected.
For the first phase of panchayat election altogether 17 nominations from the seat Ranka (north) were submitted before the Returning Officer out of which nominations of 2 candidates were rejected, four candidates filed nomination Ranka (south) seat out of which one nomination is rejected, 9 nomination papers were filed from the Bhandariya seat out of which one is rejected.
After scrutiny of the nomination papers 15 candidates are from Ranka (North) district board member seat and 3 are from Ranka (south) seat, five are from Ramkanda seat, eight are in Bhandariya seat and eight candidates are from Bargarh seat.
