Four people were killed in separate road accidents in the district. In the first incident, two persons were killed and two others got critically injured in the accident that took place at Mission road under Pirtard police station on Tuesday.
Two persons, including a 2-year-old girl, were killed on the spot when their motorcycle which they were travelling was hit by a truck from behind on the Giridih-Ranikhawa road. The deceased have been identified as Manorma Verma (30 )and Riya Kumari(2) while the injured are Anil Prasad Verma and Anup Kumar.
Another incident took place at Mohanpur village near Mahtodih picket when a motorcycle and a truck collided head-on, killing a youth and seriously injuring other.
Also at Pirtard area in Giridih district the local police recovered a body of 20-year-old tribal girl from bushes. The victim could not be identified but feared that she could be murdered by someone and dumped. Police team reached the spot and took the body in their custody before sending it for postmortem.
