Member of previous legislative Assembly of the state met with Goa Assembly legislators Forum on Saturday to discuss issues with them. The committee, which is on a three-day journey of the State from Saturday, discussed about perks, facilities and a number of related issues at length with local ex-MlAs.
“The committee met with ex-MlAs, as the forum is constituted exclusively for them. No present MlA other than Assembly Speaker Dr. Dinesh Oraon was present in the meeting organised at Assembly Hall,” said Jharkhand Assembly Public Relations Officer Gulam Muhammed Sarfaraz.
The Committee team, led by Goa Assembly Speaker Anant Shet, started the day on Saturday with a prayer in Kali Temple at Main Road. Other than Shet, Goa Assembly Secretary NB Subedar and two other officials of Assembly, the committee included Victor Gonsalves, Sadanand Mallik, Mohan Amshekhar, Simon D’Souza and Govind Acharya (all Goa MlAs of previous assembly) on tour.
Without divulging further details of the meeting, Sarfaraz said that the meeting chaired by Oraon discussed about situations of ex-MlAs.
“There are some longstanding issues, and some new,” said Sarfaraz. Oraon also organised a lunch for Committee and ex-local MlAs present at the meeting. They included Hemendra Pratap Dehati, OP lal, Kailash Mahto Kamlesh, Devendranath Champia, Jawaharlal Banra, Dr. Jaiprakash Gupta, Ramji lal Sharda, Harilal and Dukha Bhagat.
The team also visited Patratu dam later at the day. Sarfaraz said that the programmes of Sunday and Monday would be declared later.
