Former MlA selling Govt land, alleges senior Cong leader

Senior Congress leader, State Delegate Manoj Gupta has given a reminder petition to the Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh demanding a high-level probe of the selling of land of Raja Bangla, which according to him is a Government property and ex-MlA Saurav Narayan Singh is selling it in pieces.

In his petition, Gupta has said that it is not a matter merely related with selling of Government land but a matter of fraud and scam of crores of rupees. He had attached several documents according to which, the king of Ramgarh Kamakhya Narayan Singh has made 76 trusts before the enactment of Bihar land Reforms Act to save his land and property. Religious and Charitable Trust was one of them to which the Raja Bangla was given with a purpose that from its income, the trust will maintain the temples of Ramgarh Raj.

The Bihar Government denied to accept it and after a long battle in the court the Government won. As per the documents, it should be in the possession of the municipal council but the local administration never tried to take Raja Bangla in its possession as per the court’s order. Since last more than one year, ex-MlA Saurav Narayan Singh is selling its land via religious and charitable trust. Gupta has demanded intervention of the district administration in it and has prayed the Deputy Commissioner to obtain the audit reports of the said trust which will clear everything.

A while ago when asked about Raja Bangla, MlA Saurav Narayan Singh had replied, “The dispute is in the court so the land has not been transferred to anyone by registry and thus it wrong to say that I am selling it.”
