Ex-Minister Yogendra Sao, who was in JP Central Jail since last six months, has been shifted to Dumka jail on Sunday confirmed jail authorities.
Barkagaon MlA Nirmala Devi and wife of Sao called a Press conference at her Hazaribagh residence said, “About 7 am in the morning, I got information that my husband is going to be shifted elsewhere from JP Central Jail Hazaribagh. I started efforts to confirm this information and during next five hours talked to the senior administrative and police officials of the district and the State.
Smelling a conspiracy in this transfer decision Congress legislature Nirmala Devi said, “It seems that the State Government wants to kill my husband. Doctors had advised him better treatment about two months ago but the jail authorities and district administration denied it. To keep him behind the bars a false case no. 277/17 was lodged against him on April 12 after spreading news of raid at JP Central Jail and recovery of mobile and pen drive from his room.”
She added that Hazaribagh SP informed her that he has been sent to Jamtara jail but finally the jail IG confirmed that Yogendra Sao has been transferred to Dumka Jail. Six months ago Sao was arrested on the basis of four cases lodged against him. In the mean time CCA was imposed on him. Now he has got bail in all four cases and extension petition of CCA has also been disapproved by State level board two day ago, she added.
