Former DGP out meeting people in Palamau

Published on:

The former DGP Jharkhand VD Ram, a member of the State Executive Body of the BJP and a strong candidate for the Palamau lok Sabha constituency on lotus symbol, is out interacting with the people in the Naxal hit villages of the district. The Pioneer spoke to Ram over his political innings.

How do you feel being a politicianIJ

I feel comfortable. The BJP's family is quite a big one. I have no problem at all.In politics there are intrigues and behind the scene acts in abundance. Are you scared of themIJ

I do not believe this. There are politicians who talk straight, work straight.

Do you support Narendra Modi as a PM candidateIJ

Yes. Very much. The country looks forward to him.

But there are many stalwarts in the corridors of the BJP waiting for so long for this coveted position. What about them nowIJ

The BJP is rich of such stalwarts no doubt. But if you talk of Modiji the people want to see him on positions.

The national president of the BJP Raj Nath Singh wants to rope in the fold of BJP more and more young voters this coming electionIJ

You have rightly pointed out. My emphasis is on the same line. Young voters, new voters are to be linked to the BJP.

You are meeting people in Palamau's villages. How is their responseIJ

Very warm. Very cordial. People are with the BJP.

Many like to see you who their DGP was onceIJ

People here know me well. I am most at ease with them.

Have you met the members of the ABVPIJ

Yes. I am in contact with the ABVP people.

Are women also coming forward in your public contact programme.

Members of the BJP's Mahila Morcha are truly coming forward.

How many places have you covered in these couple of daysIJ

I have taken long walks and toured villages of Chhaterpur, Paton, Harihurganj and Haidernagar.
