Former Congress MlA fumes over 'hand over' letter

The former Daltonganj Congress MlA KN Tripathy cries foul in the wake of a letter issued from the office of the DC cum district magistrate Palamu.

The letter bears the designation and signature of the deputy development commissioner Palamu. The letter is addressed to the secretary Dr Jagannath Mishra Sikchha Samniti Raj Chainpur. The letter asks its secretary to hand over two tractors and eight tankers to the offices of the Executive Engineer drinking water and sanitation department Medininagar and executive officer Medininagar Nagar Parshad.

The hand over is to be done in the ratio of one tractor and four tankers to each of these two offices. The letter does not fix any deadline for the hand over of these two to these 2 offices.

A fuming K N Tripathy held his press briefing on Wednesday June 3 in the circuit house and explained the whole situation. He said under Mukhiya Mantri Vikas Yojna fund he had provided two tractors and eight tankers to Dr Jagannath Mishra Sikchha Samiti Chainpur in the year 2009 -10. The Palamu administration wants these two tractors and eight tankers back now.

He said no reason for its hand over has been given in the letter. The Pioneer accessed the letter asking for hand over.

The former Congress MlA believes that thisact of the Palamu administration is a kind of witch hunting as no where in the state any water tanker is asked to be handed over at this time of extreme water crisisas it is so asked in Palamu.

When asked for reasons Tripathy said ' Not knowing except that political adversaries have got it done which is a great disservice the needy people as these two tractors and eight tankers are catering to the need of the poor and rich alike in place like Chainpur.k
