Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda met the State women recurve archers at the national Capital on Wednesday who recently qualified for 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The list includes Deepika Kumari, Rimil Biruily, laxmirani Majhi and Mangal.
Munda also holds a senior post at the Jharkhand Archery Association. He congratulated the archers. Notably, The Indian Women’s Team will be participating at the World Meet in Poland from August 11 to 17 while the Men’s team would be participating at another foreign championship.
Deepika and laxmi Rani were cadets of Saraikela-Kharsawan Archery Academy which is presently headed by Munda’s wife Meera Munda.
Veteran archers from Tata Steel and Forces were also present on the occasion.
