Secretary of School Education and literacy Department Aradhana Patnaik on Tuesday asked teachers to follow the time schedule strictly and ensure that students learn from them. The Secretary was holding a review meeting at Collectorate on Tuesday attended by DC Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh, DSE Renuka Tigga, all BEEOs, BPOs, APO, CRPs, BRPs and teachers representative Kishor Kumar Verma.

“Schools should start on time. The teachers and the students must reach to the school in time. Teaching and learning process should go appropriately. There would be no need to inspect the schools by CRPs, BRPs and the BEEOs. If the teachers would be in dress code the students will follow them. If they would teach the students properly and follow the time table they would not have to face BEEO or DSE,” she said.

“Teachers not fulfilling their duty will be marked out. Action would be taken against them. Even after that they would not mend themselves they would be discharged from the service. This rule would also be applicable on Para teachers and SSA employees. likewise the good teachers would be encouraged, promoted and given prizes and honor,” the Secretary added.

“If the programmes of SSA would not go effectively, the APO and the ADPO would be responsible for it. DSE must take action for this. In case of serious disease they VRS may be given to them. The teachers having many problems should also be given VRS. Action must be taken to mend the schools not running properly, or the teachers don’t attend the classes regularly or the number of students is less than desired,” she said.

Patnaik also visited Kasturba Gandhi residential school Kisko and found the results satisfactory. After that she inspected the mid day meal at Govt middle school Kisko positively.
