The huge iron gates of Raj Bhawan bid adieu to its admirers with a promise to open yet again giving people a chance to indulge in the beauty, fragrance and colours of its succulent green wraps. The floral treat at Raj Bhawan’s sprawling garden ended here on Sunday on a high note with huge crowd gathering.
The flowery lushness that continued beyond a week this time again was successful in gaining the wide attention of more than two lakh public coming from Capital City along with a few adjoining places. One of the nature aficionados, Padma lal who devotedly visit the place to get the real quintessence of spring season, said “This place gives me a feel of being close to nature. I along with my family members visited the spot thrice this time. I will miss being here during weekends.”
Similarly, another buff, Priya Rawat lamented over the closure of this 15 days florid fiesta. Rawat stated that once an individual enters this green paradise is sure to get smitten by its exquisiteness. Since past five years, the Rajbhawan garden is being opened for the commoners with the beginning of spring spell offering public a visual treat to enjoy this ‘queen of seasons’.
The garden that heartily welcomes all with the onset of spring, gained similar massive response from the leisure buffs who got captivated by the charm of this magnificent place. Adorned with numerous varieties of floras, the green lungs spread over an acres of land is considered to be an ultimate spot for nature enthusiasts.
This man made heaven had become as a perfect ‘Selfie’ point in the recent days. The serene environment gives an individual, a feel of spending time in the nature’s lap away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The gardens decked up with several rare plant collections both indigenous and foreign, massive water fountains, collection of medicinal trees had pulled huge crowd emerging as one of the most soothing recreational sites.
The garden is spread over an area of 62 acres of land with huge green covers. Gardens with beautiful landscape, varieties of roses, seasonal plants like petunia, zarvera, dahlia, marigold, sunflower, aster are the cynosure for leisure buffs. Around more than 70 varieties of flowers and over 1,000 types of rare plants collection at one spot here in something both unique and rare to view out.
Along with the elderly public and school kids, couples too annually gathers in ample numbers to pamper themselves in its magnificent beauty. The shrinking green paddocks have increased its significance in the recent times. From the beginning of its opening year, it draws huge public attention, leaving people dismayed on its closing day.
