FJCCI holds meeting with Sand Truck Owners Association

Published on:

Federation of Jharkhand Chamber Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) held a meeting with Sand Truck owners association on this Saturday. During the meeting the Sand traders discussed about the problems faced by them due to ban on lifting sand.

Meanwhile Chamber president Ranjit Tiberwal revealed that after getting aware of the problems of sand traders FJCCI had already informed since 2011, and requested CM Hemant Soren when he was minister for land and mines to sort out the difficulties of Sand truck owners and traders. And in the mean time action was taken to postpone the auction of Sand ghats.

Meanwhile Tiberwal spoke to CM Hemant Soren and said that everything was going very smooth but they cannot understand the reason of making ban on lifting sand by the land and Mines department. As a result the labours, truck owners, sand traders are tortured and sent to jail by the local police and administration. Tiberwal also said that without auction of Sand Ghats, ban on lifting of sand should not be done, and if there is ban then it should be for every one. It seems department is playing double role because there is regular lifting of sand for the construction of Government buildings despite the ban.

FJCCI members also said that sand is very important for building construction and the recent ban on sand may result in several difficulties. It may also create heavy unemployment which will be an obstacle in the development of the State.
