Election schedule and Code of Conduct for Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) election 2016-17 session has been notified on Thursday.
Chairman of the election lalit Kedia and Co-Chairman Vishnu Budhiya said at the occasion of releasing the notification that 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of FJCCI will be held on September 24, followed by Chamber election next day.
As per schedule, Union Minister for State of Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal would be the Chief Guest and Rajyasabha MP and Former President of the Chamber Mahesh Poddar would be Special Guest at the inaugural session of AGM of FJCCI to be organised at Ranchi Club. Other sessions of the meeting will take place at Chamber Bhawan itself in the day.
All the Chamber members have been asked to deposit their Chamber fees by Friday. A total of 2,790 voters are expected to exercise their right of voting in Chamber election this year. Those taken membership after June 27 this year have been barred from voting. As many as 30 counters equipped with 18 computers would be deployed at Marwari Bhawan (Harmu), the venue, to ensure fair election.
Meanwhile, team RD Singh organised a Padyatra from Albert Ekka Chowk to Ranchi Club via Main Road on Wednesday to beg for support of local business fraternity in coming election. Aditya Malhotra, Pankaj Kumar Choudhary, Pradeep Kumar Jain, Premchandra Srivastava aka lalji, Pooja Dhadha, Rajesh Kumar Khemka, Rahul Sabu, Rakesh Murarka, Shrawan Sarang and other members of team RD Singh were there in Yatra.
The team has also organised a meeting in Pisca More area on Thursday, where it will try to find support of business fraternity of Harnu Road, Ratu Road, Itki Road and adjacent areas.
