Wait gets over as here comes the much awaited action packaged reloaded ‘Raahgiri-season 2’ for Ranchiites. With more fun-filled activities lined up for the leisure buffs since the RMC is gearing up to re-launch the weekly event from November 20 with in a renewed version aimed to promote the healthy lifestyle among one and all.
Sundays morning will again be fun-days for city residents. The fiesta of health and delight will be witnessed again as the civic body is all set to initiate the event at earliest. ‘Raahgiri’ day which kicked off in April 2016 was a big hit among the fitness freak and those who regularly participated in the programme as it offered various physical activities to indulge with.
The organisers have planned to expand the event to add more fun and folic in the programme with innovative approach. The first edition witnessed ample crowd on the busiest stretches of the State capital and saw people falling in different age groups actively cosseting themselves in different physical tasks and other creative activities from 6 AM to 8 AM on Sundays.
To make the event a success in the days to come, authorities are on toe to add more fervour to the entire affair by adapting new strategies. “No old activities or concepts will be repeated in the new season. We are also looking for more partners so that more vivid options can be provided to visitors. Routes covering from Kutchery to Shaheed Chowk to Albert Ekka Chowk leading towards Kali Mandir will remain as it is. Few more routes can be added keeping the expansion strategy in mind,” said, RMC Additional Municipal Commissioner Bidyanand Sharma.
The much appreciated ‘Raahgiri’ Day was the joint endeavor of RMC and Ranchi Traffic Police including few other private players. “The meeting will be conducted after Diwali and final plan will be drafted out soon. Yet our effort will be to make this much awaited event bigger and better than the previous edition as few more private partners are likely to be involved in the project,” added Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijaywargia.
Mayor Asha lakra had mentioned earlier about the expansion procedure of the event to other localities. At present, the plan is confined to Mahatma Gandhi Marg (MG Road) only. However looking at the first edition response, organizers have planned to enlarge it with all new fresh ideas in second season.
