First black fungus patient was found in Pagmil Mohalla of Hazaribag town. After a CT scan it was confirmed that the disease has reached its second stage. Doctors have referred the patient to Medica hospital in Ranchi.
Dr Anwar Ekram said that a 75-year-old person came to his clinic. He was Coronavirus positive and was affected by black fungus during the Covid treatment.
He was immediately sent for a CT scan. In the city scan it was confirmed that he is a patient of black fungus. This has reached the second stage. Both his eyes were affected with black fungus.
Doctor Ekram further said that his sugar level is very high and oxygen level is very low. He was immediately referred to Medica Ranchi.
Dr Ekram said that it is not an infectious disease. It does not spread from one person to another. Generally it is found in the patients, who were affected with coronavirus.
