In a shocking incident a 28-year-old security guard was injured as one of his colleagues shot at him on the campus of a multinational company in Adityapur industrial area in Seraikela in the wee hours of Thursday.
The injured was identified as Suresh Mondal, who has sustained splinter injuries in his right thigh and is said to be out of danger. He is presently undergoing treatment at the Tata Main Hospital.The incident took place at Metalsa India Pvt ltd, a multinational company located on Gamharia-Seraikela Road.
The police have arrested a security guard, Sanosh Rai (27) who had opened fire at the security guard . The police have also seized the gun used in the assault.
OC, Seraikela police station Ranvijay Singh said there was a fight between the two security guards of the company over location of one's posting during night-shift duty.
" As per our investigation both the guards had guns, but after altercation, Rai who is a resident of Baxar district in Bihar fired a shot at Mondal. As the incident took place the company officials had rushed him to the MGM Medical College Hospital, but as the condition of the victim was serious he was shifted to Tata Main Hospital," said Singh.
