An FIR has been registered against filmmaker Avinash Das for sharing photographs of Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Pooja Singhal and Home Minister Amit Shah by the Crime Branch of Ahmedabad Police. Filmmaker Avinash Das of Anarkali of Aarah fame shared a picture of Pooja Singhal with Amit Shah on microblogging website Twitter. Singhal is currently facing ED's investigation and interrogation in the corruption case and has been suspended by the State Government.
Notably, Pooja Singhal was arrested by the ED on May 10 on charges of financial irregularities including MGNREGA scam of Rs 18 crore. She was produced in the court from where she was sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail. Pooja Singhal is currently on ED remand. Earlier, the court had handed over his 5-day remand to the ED and on Monday, the remand period was extended for 4 days. Pooja Singhal is accused of misusing her position and taking financial benefits and giving it to others. In this case, many influential people of Jharkhand are under the scanner of ED.
Notably, the picture shared by filmmaker Avinash Das is said to be from the year 2017. The picture is of an event in which Pooja Singhal is seen talking to Amit Shah. Avinash Das is accused of misleading people and trying to harm Amit Shah's reputation. Not only this, Avinash Das is also accused of insulting the tricolour. Avinas Das shared a picture of Amit Shah and Pooja Singhal from his Twitter on 8 May.
