A teachers’ felicitation ceremony was organised by the Private Schools and Children Welfare Association (PASWA) at Michael John Auditorium, Jamshedpur on Tuesday.
On this occasion, State Finance and Food Supplies Minister, Dr Rameshwar Oraon honoured more than 500 teachers of three districts of Kolhan division East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
National president of Paswa, Syed Shamail Ahmed and representatives from five states were present as the chief guest in the ceremony. Under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Pradesh PASWA, Chief Alok Kumar Dubey, all the teachers were honored with mementoes, certificates and trophies in the biggest ever felicitation ceremony organised for private teachers in Jamshedpur.
Finance and Food Supplies Minister Dr Rameshwar Oraon said in his address on the occasion that one cannot do anything alone. There needs to be unity. Paswa was formed in the year 2011. Keeping in mind the interest of the children, teachers and parents, the organisation continued to work in this spirit of service.
He said even today the place of Guru is supreme in Indian culture. The teacher is considered to be the embodiment of light. There may be selfishness in the parents that if their son grows up, he will serve as a doctor-engineer or in other high positions, but the Guru teaches selflessly.
Oraon said he always speaks the truth, last time also when he mentioned the desire to teach children in private school instead of Government school and made a statement, some people also tried to create controversy over it. Later, some Government school teachers also came to meet him and told that he wants to teach, but he also gets many other types of work apart from studying, due to which there is a problem. Expressing his gratitude to the teachers of the private school, he said that during the Corona transition period, when people were hesitant to meet each other, at that time only the teachers of the private school worked to continue the education of the children through online mediums. . This society can never forget this work of teachers.
On this occasion, Shamail Ahmed said at present only private schools have been successful in providing standard education to the children. This has become possible because all the teachers working in private schools understand their responsibilities and teach the children with full heart. Education is good in private schools that is why people want to enroll children in private schools and English medium schools only. He also said that there should be a criterion for Government and private schools, if Government schools can operate in two-three rooms, then private schools should also be allowed.
