BJP state president cum Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash made a big attack on the state government today. Prakash said that the State government is an anti-development government. The ministers of the ruling party, including the Chief Minister, are only concerned about their position and family, but are not worried about the people of the state being strong, the condition of the villages and the poor improving.
He said that the state government is setting up boards, corporations to please the leaders of the alliance but not setting up the important constitutional commission of the state. He said that the posts like State Women's Commission, Finance Commission, Lokayukta, Information Commissioner are lying vacant for years. He said that due to the important posts of the Finance Commission remaining vacant, there is a possibility of not getting the Central grant.
Prakash said that the Central Government allocates money to the State Finance Commission in the light of the recommendations of the Finance Commission. Then this money is allocated to Panchayati Raj Institutions, Municipalities. He said that today the State Finance Commission is chairless and staffless, due to which the Panchayati Raj Institutions of the state in the next two financial years are likely to be eclipsed by the State government's inaction on the grant of Rs 2736 crore from the Central government. This includes both tied and untied funds.
He said that the Hemant government's intention is to postpone the municipal election, that’s why the state government has not started the process of a triple test.
