Films, marriages boost for AT Rainbow flights

Silver screen and marriage parties are providing thrust to AT Rainbow flights.

The flight, supposed to provide the people a chance to experience an aerial view of Ranchi city, will be back in town with new projects soon. The flight has been hired by Jollywood players to shoot a few Bhojpuri films whose shooting is scheduled to begin from first week of June in Dhanbad. More over, the flight will be seen showering flowers on bride and groom during wedding ceremonies.

It had been launched for the first time on March 16. But the owners faced a number of problems after its launch, which included lack of parking facility for the flights at the airport due to which they had to send the flight to Jamshedpur for night parking. Besides, 100 octane ll fuel required for the flight was also not available and also a very cold response was received from the customers . So all these problems forced the owners to shift their flight to other places.  The flight was shifted to Sagar in Madhya Pradesh (MP) by the end of April.

According to Tulit Gunjan, one of the owners of AT Rainbow flight, the reason behind the cold response of the people was also the wrong timing of its launch. “Students were busy with their schools and colleges at the time of their launch so people took less interest in taking its ride,” he added.

He further added that now we are back again with our three flights and apart from films shooting and wedding ceremony plans we are also planning to resume the aerial view service again for Ranch Darshan. Bookings have already started and till date we have a total booking of 75 people, waiting the number to reach till 100.  In order to meet with the problems faced in our first inning this time we have taken permission from Director General of Civil Aviation for parking facility and fuel availability.

The operator has fixed fare of Rs 2500 for one person for one hour of the aerial view. The flight will be operated from 7 am to 8.30 in night.
