Feeling relaxed: Sinha

Published on:

After departure of trial engine from Hazaribagh Railway Station, MP Yashwant Sinha addressed the gathering and congratulated the denizens of Hazaribagh for their decades-long dream becoming true on Sunday. “I am feeling very much relaxed today as what I have promised to you and vowed about 25 years ago has been fulfilled today,” said he.

Sinha was in victorious mood and remembered their old fellows Saligram Singh, Moin Miyan, Banshidhar Prasad who were in jail with him when first time he had been arrested for demanding this railway line in 1988-89. Showing documents of parliament he said that today many leaders have come forward to share the credit but papers do not lie and the people know everything.

Taunting on local Congressmen including MlA Saurav Narayan Singh he said that, “I have heard that some Ministers of Jharkhand are also coming here today but no one came because today too there are some men in the Congress who respects the truth.” Narrating the entire story Yashwant said that every MP of Hazaribagh always tried his best and raised his voice in Parliament for this rail line but the center never took it seriously. In 1991 when Chadrashekhar was PM the proposal first came in interim railway budget and then in 1998 railway budget.

“It was AB Vajpayee who had laid the foundation stone of this project in January 1999 and till 2004 I have pushed it to that extent from where it cannot be withdrawn. After my defeat in 2004 it got delayed but when I gained your faith in 2009 once again started my efforts to fulfill my promise and your dream,” added Sinha He thanked Ex-Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi of TMC for his support and said that after several rounds of meeting finally the day came.
