Farmers’ summit can’t fulfill their dreams: Sudesh

Published on:

The AJSU Party chief, Sudesh Kumar Mahto, during his Swaraj Swabhimaan Yatra on Tuesday at Majhgaon in Chaibasa, has said that dreams of remote areas of Kolhan or Shantal can’t be realized only on the basis of organising the farmers’ summit in the State capital.

Speaking on the occasion Mahto said, “To know the reality of the farmers and make changes, the government has to sit with the farmers in the fields and tents.

When the owner or representatives of big companies will measure distances of the plateaus of Jharkhand, then they will know what the priority and needs of the farmers is.”

He further said “Under Jharkhand’s land there is vast mineral wealth. Entire world know it. The capitalists and the big companies sitting hundreds of miles away know that under the land of Saradha there is gold, iron ore and trash paras. But they do not know what are the conditions of the farmers of Manjgaon and Tantnagar and what are their dreams.”

Mahto said, “What the farmers’ dreams of our villages are. Just somehow arrangement of food for two times in a day. Simultaneously he appealed to the farmer to save their land and make the voice big. Even more important, don’t talk politics with the politicians only talk about their subject. The face of Jharkhand can’t be change only on the basis of industries.”

He added that it is my good fortune that I have had the opportunity to sit and talk with the peasant brothers.

In the Swaraj Swabhiman Kisan Sabha, Nandlal Birua, Damu Banara, Sapan Singh Dev, Subodh Prasad, Ramlal Munda, Birsa Munda, Satyanarayan Mahato, Zingi Heenbram, Ravi Shankar were present.
