Farmers’ income to double by 2022: Deepak Prakash

Published on:

State BJP president cum Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, the chief guest present at the Bharatiya Janata Party's Farmers' symposium held here on Saturday said that with the intention of doubling the income of farmers and increasing production, three farmers reform laws have been brought. To make the country self-reliant, farmers need to be self-sufficient. This law will give the farmers the freedom to open markets, invest capital and wholesale the commodity. The farmer will sell the produce with his condition.

Prakash said that touts and middlemen are dominating the mandis, while the Congress is the guardian of these middlemen and touts. “These agrarian reform laws will end the brokerage of middlemen and brokers, which is why Congress is having a stomach ache. The Congress is opposing these laws. Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law and Congress have done the work of looting the farmers.

Those who do not know about wheat and paddy cannot talk of farmers' interest. He said that despite the consent of the Chief Ministers of all the states and dozens of organizations were taken after enactment of the law, the Congress is opposing these laws for showing off,” said he.

“In the Raghuvar Das government of the Bharatiya Janata Party, several schemes were being run in the interest of the farmers, which was stopped by the JMM and the Congress government. When the rights of the farmers are abolished, the State government can never be friendly to the farmers. Urea, seed and crop were affected in this government. Farmers barely received urea. The Congress and JMM has gained power by cheating the farmers. The government had announced to waive up to 2 lakh loans as soon as it was formed, but now the ruling party has retracted from that promise. The farmers of the State are being cheated.

Prime Minister Modi has pledged that by 2022 the income of farmers will double. If the farmers are self-reliant, then the country will reach the peak on the world map,” said the State BJP president.

General Secretary Aditya Sahu said, on the occasion, that the Congress that cheated the farmers is today shedding crocodile tears on the Farmers Reform Act. Congress does not want betterment of farmers. Vote bank politics is no longer going on. Farmers have faith in the leadership of Modi ji, he said. The farmers of the country will be self-sufficient. State BJP Vice president Gangotri Kujur said that JMM Congress is trying to create confusion among the farmers, but the farmers have understood the benefits of this bill.

The leaders were speaking at a farmers’ symposium organized in the Capital city on Saturday. Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, MLA Samri Lal, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, former MLA and State Vice President Gangotri Kujur, Kisan Morcha State President Pawan Sahu, Satyanarayan Singh, Sima Patra etc. were present on the occasion.
