A fair on the occasion of Makar Sankranti was organised at the bank of Koel river. The festival was celebrated with a grate joy in the district. People took the eatables made with Til and Gur with Dahi Chura after worships of God at the temples. In spite of biting cold the people started to gather at the fair site since early morning. It concluded peacefully. No untoward incident was reported. The district administration and police forces also remained vigil during the hours.
The day before yesterday a fair was also organised at the bank of Baxo river. The people performed some ritualistic acts and then the programme of Bhajan Kirtan was conducted. The MlA-cum-JPCC head Sukhdeo Bhagat also participated in the programme and extended his wishes to he denizens.
