City-based voluntary organisation promoting eye donation Roshni, launched its website roshnijsr.com on Friday.
The website www.roshnijsr.com was launched by city SP, Karthik S and other guests like Surekha Nerurkar, patron, Roshni; P.N. Swamy, president and other members of Roshni. The website has been designed and developed by Anmoul Infomatics Pvt ltd, a city based software concern which has done the work as a contribution without charging a penny. The logo of Roshni was too designed by them.
The best part of the website is that a user can easily fill the online eye pledge form and can print the pledge card. For regular awareness of eye donation, the website has a section of downloads which contains the power point presentation which a user can download. Rajnish Kumar, secretary of Roshni and a national executive member of Eye Bank Association of India expressed confidence that with the launch of new website the donors would be attracted. Roshni is also registered with Eye Bank Association of India as life member. Since its establishment in 1994 Roshni Jamshedpur have received eye donation from 102 persons benefiting 148 corneally blind persons who now has vision.
