Applauding the initiatives of Minister Saryu Roy, Bhagat said, “Roy has been constantly working since so many years with sincere dedication for the development of the State and conservation of the environment. Roy, with the support of his team has been working in ‘Damodar Bachao Aaandolan’, which is a great initiative to save the dying river. like Roy has taken the issue of environment, people should also take a particular matter of concern and work on it. This will solve the problem of issues like pollution and Pathalgadi.”

Bhagat inspired the people to take initiative and work towards the conservation of the environment. He urged the people to keep working for the betterment of the environment. Bhagat said, “Only shouting and protesting will not help, people need to come forward and work together to preserve the rivers, forests and land.”

On the concluding day of environmental conclave, the inner visions of artists were expressed through paintings. Twenty three artists across the State had exhibited their works on the topic of environment. The major attraction of the exhibition was the painting of renowned artist, Ram Kumar. The masterpiece of Kumar is worth rupees one crore.

Meanwhile, several stalls put up by government organizations and NGOs working in the field of environment attracted huge crowds in the fair. Department of Forest, Environment anc climate change explained how they try to let people know about the different ways of conserving the nature. “We try to tell the tourists about the disadvantages of the wild animals going extinct. This way they enjoy their trip as well as receive some information,” said a representative of the department. He said that with the help of this conclave, they are also trying to attract tourists to increase their revenue.

Birsa Agricultural University (BAU), Ranchi set up a model to help out villages in harvesting rainwater and replacing diesel pumps with electricity from solar panels at the conclave. Nagari and Ekamba villages in Patratu town of Ramgarh district have received aids from the university.

The Forest Department has also set up a stall to show two different kinds of machines, one for extracting oil and the other one for making leaf plates, to help farmers know about it. “These machines keep the farmers’ income going even after they are done with harvesting seeds,” said a representative of the Department.
