In an attempt to allot wine shop to private owners in the financial year 2019-20 Jharkhand State Excise Department announced it E-Lottery results on Tuesday. From FY 2019-20 the Excise Department will start distribution of liquor shop through E-Lottery system.
The department had invited application for Country Made Liquor Shops, Indian Made Foreign
Liquor Shops and Composite Liquor Shops. The department had constituted a total of 799 groups for all the three categories of shops.
The department received 686 applications for all 799 shops which is 86 per cent of total groups. According to the prior announced timing of the E-Lottery system, the department has announced its results on the day.
All the Deputy Commissioner from all the 24 districts completed the shop distribution work at their district headquarters.
The department’s estimated expected revenue from these 686 shops is Rs 1,300 core which is 83 per cent of prescribed goal of Rs 1,558 crore for the financial year 2019-20.
