As the examination racket here unfolded new things came to the fore. At Haryana's Rohtak there runs Vijeta Defence Academy while in laxmi Nagar Delhi there is Astha Defence Coaching Centre.
The Haryana academy is run by Jai Prakash Narain, while Delhi's by Om Prakash. Daltonganj's lacchaya coaching centre is in touch with these two centres Haryana and Delhi. SDO Sadar Nancy Sahay said, “Police will investigate as to what kind of link is between these two far based institutions with the Daltonganj based one.” She said it would be too premature to jump to any conclusion. The Rohtak and Delhi institutions are related to defence and this Daltonganj coaching centre claims to prepare students for Army and Navy.
Sahay said it will be worth probing as what these Rohtak and Delhi based institutions used to do with students coming over here from Daltonganj.
“Ravi Kishore has confessed to police that he used to return students’ Rs1.50 lakh in the event of not getting success. Does any coaching centre or academy return the cash if the student fails to clear the examinationIJ Never does this happen anywhere,” she said.
However, she read out the text of the statement of the director of the lacchaya coaching centre Ravi Kishore who has his statement recorded by police that he ( Ravi) used to send students of his coaching centre to these two places for which he used to collect Rs1.50 lakh from each of the student.
The SDO said police have lodged an FIR against four. The four are Jai Prakash narain Rohtak, Om Prakash Delhi Ravi Kishore Daltonganj and Nikhil Gupta Daltonganj.
She said police have recovered fake seals of SDO Sadar and CO Chainpur. She said Ravi Kishore has confessed that with these fake seals residential and caste certificates were prepared but had to discontinue this practice once the issuance of certificate became in line! .
Giving benefit of doubt the detained students whose number rose from 5 to 6 have been allowed to take their Inter examinations as per their exam schedule added SDO.
“They have admit cards. Their genuineness cannot be ascertained in such a short time. And so these 6 are taking their examinations and once any foul play is found with the admit cards they will lose the benefit of giving their examinations,” she added.
