Impressed by Narendra Modi’s development policy and working style, Jharkhand’s ex-minister Aparna Sengupta of All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) felt compelled to do her bit. On Wednesday, she joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and also its wing Janta Mazdoor Sangh to serve the masses.
Sengupta rushed to Singh Mansion at Dhanbad and joined the party before BJP MlA (Jharia) Sanjeev Sing and ex-MlA Kunti Singh. The duo welcomed her into the party fold.
“Prime Minister Modi brings paradigm shift in governance. His thoughts and politics have always impressed me and I am today joining the BJP to take forward his mission of development and making India strong,” said Aparna Sengupta.
“PM’s agenda of development to take the country forward has impressed me. With BJP, I am committed to take the country as well as State forward by making it corruption-free and by uplifting the poor,” she added.
“Our PM’s vision for development is very clear and he is determined. His positive approach only can transform the country and bring out our Jharkhand into a global arena,” said Sengupta.
“I am personally impressed with his vision to develop brand India with talent, tradition, tourism, trade and technology,” she added.
On economic and social empowerment of women, Modi wants that women should be seen as nation builders and not mere homemakers, and he is on move to ensure their dignity and safety, she said.
