As on directive of Central vigilance commission and DVC, the Bokaro thermal power plant organised Vigilance Awareness week at the power plant premises here on Monday with a view to spread the message laying on preventive vigilance and driving home the point that vigilance should not be seen in isolation but as a tool to achieve good governance and better operational results.
At the opening ceremony in BTPS the week was inaugurated by Chief engineer and project head of BTPS, Pramod Kumar by lighting up lamp and also took pledge during the Vigilance Awareness Week .He also gone through the message of President of India,Vice President of India, Prime Minister of India and Chief Vigilance commissioner of India. In his speech, CE &project head P.Kumar emphasized that there should be greater transparency in various activities to improve efficiency level and for purpose of achieving growth of the Corporation in the days to come. Chief Engineer &project head also indicated the purpose behind observing Vigilance Awareness Week and reminded the engineers and staffs that every employees has to work instinctively for eradication of corruption in all spheres of life and also emphasis on the role of ethical values ,Kumar further added .
In BTPS on the occasion banners and posters were also displayed in catching point at inside the power plant. Cartoon, essay writing, seminar and slogan writings contest on the role of preventive vigilance will be organized during the week.The Week is being observed from October 26 to October 31.
A group of engineers including Dy CE (civil) US Thakur ,l.B. Sharma ,Kamlesh Kumar ,Sandip Pal,D.Akabar ,Superintendent engineers ,B.K. Mandal ,PP Shah ,R.P.Shah, Additional Director (vigilance ) SK Mishra PRO ,S.K. Sarkar, HRD, Subodh Mishra ,Dilip Kumar and others were present on the occasion .
