ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group company and a major steel player, was honoured with 'Excellence in Covid Care' by Times Group, Jharkhand in Ranchi on August 7, 2022. This celebration was conducted four years after the Covid Pandemic, where the Times Groups recognized renowned doctors, hospitals and industries that assisted and served the residents of Jharkhand during and after the pandemic.
The Vedanta Covid Care Hospital with excellent infrastructure has vaccinated over 4 lakhs people and distributed medical equipment such as sanitizer, masks, and ESL Steel Limited supported the state and the nation with over 500 tonnes of oxygen cylinders, among other things. ESL's CSR team has been operating and supporting over 27 villages in the Chas and Chandankiyari Blocks of Bokaro District, and the team has helped the communities by providing medical and health care facilities.
The Vedanta Covid Care Hospital was awarded at the Times Icons of Health 2022 with "Excellence in Covid Care " which was received by Ashish Ranjan, (Head CSR, ER & PR), Sanjay Sinha,(AGM Dr.Rinku Jaiswal,( Chief Medical Officer) and Sarabjeet Kaur ( Manager, Corporate Communication & PR).
