ESL Steel limited is a Vedanta Group company and a major steel player. ESL’s Safety Team organized ‘Safety Chaupaal’ at different sites within the plant premises. The program started with DIP at 11:00 am, and then moved on to Sinter, Mills, and ended with SMS at 4:00 pm. The event saw huge participation not just by the workers but the leaders as well. The event's main objective was to bring all employees and workers together to share ideas about how they may continue on their safety journey to achieve excellence and their commitment to "ZERO HARM." The workshop saw majority of the participants discussing their professional experience during the session where they were served refreshments as well.
During this meeting, workers and employees brainstormed ways to improve their excellence in safety with the participation of Tapesh Naskar (Director, DIP), Nitesh Nirala (Director, Iron and Power), and Ravi Ranjan (Director, Steel) from ESL. The event was a grand success with the participation of over 350 employees and workers who assisted and made this event successful by contributing their ideas. High safety standards and a dedication to "Transform for Good" are two things that ESL Steel Limited is renowned for.
