Opening door of opportunities for the enthusiasts who wish to explore some creative genres, Jharkhand Innovation lab (JIl) on Sunday organised 'Startup Pulse on Design and Retail Marketing' for the budding entrepreneurs who desire to carve niche in apparel designing sector.

The technical session dealt with taking up the queries of the participants ranging from production to export, mentoring the enthusiasts while presenting some success stories who have introduced their clothing brands.

Presentations were given by the experts to cope with the challenges of apparel and merchandising industries. Using the creativity in making money, Dr. Dazy Sinha, HOD-Fashion Technology, Marwari College said,

"The only way out to be successful in this industry is to think in a different way. Opportunities like opening a design studio, working as a freelance designer; the fashion industry is filled up with number of choices.

"Sinha informed the participants that only registered brands are eligible for exporting their designer clothes. Also, Sinha added that marketing strategies must be strong enough to attract consumers.

"During the early days, there was no one to support off beat careers. Now, the government is there to scale up the ideas. In creative genres, sky is the limit," she added.
